Job description

Are you experienced in providing Complex Care to children and young people?

Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking experienced Health Care Assistants to support a teenage girl with her complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

She enjoys playing with her cuddly toys and her favourite is Minnie Mouse as she is a big Disney fan and loves to watch Disney movies.

She attends school and enjoys doing so as this enables her to spend time with her friends and take part in sensory activities.

This is a great role where you will be supporting within her education setting and at home.

Taking care of her personal appearance is very important to our service user and she enjoys being pampered by her care team, especially having her nails painted.

Her condition means that she is prone to seizures and requires intermittent oxygen. She requires a Health Care Assistant in her home to support with seizure management, including rescue medication where required, as well as supporting with all her moving and handling, administering her nutrition via gastrostomy and oral suctioning as she is unable to cough.

Essential Experience Required

• 6 months previous care experience

• Personal Care

• Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience

• PEG Feeding

• Epilepsy & Seizure Management

We have the following shifts available;

• Day shifts from 7am to 7pm

• Night shifts from 7pm to am

This is a personally rewarding role where you can build on your clinical skills and experience, whilst delivering exceptional care and support to our service user and really making an impact on her day to day life.
