Are you experienced in delivering Health Care / Social Care within the community or a residential / nursing care setting?
Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?
We are expanding our team in West Bromwich and require experienced Care Assistants who are committed, motivated, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our clients and their families.
We can offer a monthly rota & shifts to suit your needs over the following days and hours:
x2 waking night shifts per week between 21:30 - 08:00
Our service user is an 8-year-old boy who has a genetic condition affecting many parts of the body. He also has epilepsy as a result of his condition.
He lives at home with his parents and older sisters and attends school during the week.
He can sometimes show signs of challenging behaviour and we require is care team to be able to handle these situations calmly.
You will be delivering his clinical care which includes PEG for both his nutrition and medication, along with oral suctioning and seizure management. You will also administer his medications, carry out all his personal care as well as careful moving and handling.
Our ideal candidates will be have experience in dealing with epilepsy as well as being outgoing, caring, reliable and have excellent communication in order to complete detailed handovers between shifts.
We offer full comprehensive clinical training although applicants must be able to evidence 6 months previous experience within a similar role.
