Job description

Apollo Home Healthcare is a specialist provider of high-quality complex care services, delivering care to adults, children and young people in their own homes. Our service is designed to allow individuals to stay within their own home to receive person-centred care and support to the highest standards.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Quality Lead. The position plays a key role in supporting the business to meet regulatory standards whilst delivering high quality care. The Quality Lead will form a key member of our growing organisation and contribute to the achievement of the company strategy and objectives.

The key objectives of the role are to;

  • Ensure the business is continually meeting applicable regulatory requirements
  • Ensure the effective delivery of care is achieved through a compliant workforce
  • Support the company in achieving its quality management objectives through the management and administration of company policies
  • Facilitate and administer our training function to meet regulatory and service delivery requirements

The key accountabilities of the role are to:

  • Oversee all relevant company policies in line with both regulatory requirements and internal processes
  • Undertake regular quality reporting on key performance variables
  • Support the operational and clinical teams in carrying out quality audits
  • Provide regular quality audit reports, identifying trends and courses of action to be reviewed by the Senior Management team
  • Compile regular reports for Governance and Risk meetings
  • Oversee the stakeholder engagement process and provide relevant reporting and feedback.
  • Administer all required regulatory notifications/ registrations
  • Administer the risk management register and review process
  • Administer central log of incidents, accidents and complaints
  • Ensure all CQC care standards are adhered to across the company
  • Ensure that the appropriate training and induction standards are delivered to agency workers across the business
  • Produce training provider reports and attend review meetings.
  • Complete and submit quality reports to CCG’s
  • Management of DSP toolkit
  • To represent the organisation in Health & Safety, Caldicott & GDPR

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Good knowledge of the regulatory field within the healthcare sector
  • Familiarity with compliance, audit and reporting processes
  • Strong organisational, administration skills#
  • Highly detailed and accurate reporting skills

Key Competencies:

  • Confident communicator
  • Ability to produce work to a high standard within a specific time frame
  • Appropriate IT skills with ability to provide a high standard of reporting via Excel
  • Self-motivated
  • Results-driven
  • Ability to work effectively across teams within an organisation

This role would suit someone who has experience within the healthcare and quality sector, along with strong analytical and administrative skills, who is looking to step into a more senior position.
