Job description

Are you a Paediatric Nurse looking for a new challenge?

We are recruiting a part-time Lead Nurse who is skilled in providing Complex Care to join our young service users care team.

For this position we can offer 25 contracted hours per week

Our service user is a young boy who is supported 24 hours a day in his own home, by his family and care team.

He is a happy and very smiley young boy, who responds very well to his care team and their interactions.

We require a Lead Nurse to provide support, guidance, and the sign offs of clinical competencies to his existing care team and any new members that may join, this will include but not limited to:

  • Ventilation management
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Suction via tracheostomy
  • Nutrition and fluid via gastrostomy
  • Bowel management
  • Intermittent urinary catheterisation
  • Epilepsy management
  • Medicine management including nebuliser administration and oxygen
  • Cough assist

As well as the clinical support you will be responsible for;

  • Transcribing & Auditing of Medication Administration Records (MAR charts)
  • Auditing of paperwork
  • Producing Monthly Reports
  • Stock checks and ordering
  • External visits
  • Shift Support when required

Essential Experience Required

  • Current NMC PIN
  • Paediatric Nurse
  • Complex Clinical Care including the above clinical needs
  • Flexible on hours to cover the service users need
  • Driver and access to a vehicle
