Are you experienced in providing Complex Care to children and young people?
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Health Care Assistants to support a young gentleman with complex care needs.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
Our service user lives at home with his mum and siblings in Winsford. The family also have a pet dog. He is a happy, pleasant young gentleman who is fully dependent on his dedicated care team to support with his clinical and social needs.
We are looking for Health Care assistants who can fit in with their busy family household.
When at home, he likes watching tv and films; he especially enjoys Teletubbies and Sport.
He has limited communication however he uses gestures and some words to express his feelings.
At times, our service user can become anxious and agitated when there are a lot of things going on; Therefore, we are looking for people with a calming nature who can comfort and reassure him when upset.
He likes to go out into the community when able to and particularly likes going for car journeys.
Due to current circumstances, he is unable to attend school. However, once he does return to his educational setting you will be required to support throughout the day.
Essential Experience Required
• 6 months previous care experience
• Medication Administration
• Personal Care
• Moving and Handling
Desirable Experience
• Tracheostomy Care
• Ventilation Management
• Peg Feeding
• Learning Disability awareness
• Epilepsy Awareness
We have the following shifts available;
• Waking Nights (12 hour shifts)
