Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Health Care Assistants to support a young adult with his complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user is a lovely guy who requires a care team to support him 24/7 on a 2:1 basis and currently based in Wythenshawe.

He has an outgoing caring nature and enjoys a good level of banter with his care team. He loves watching the TV, especially Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube. He has a PlayStation and likes to watch staff play or play with him; Resident Evil is one of his favourite games to play. He enjoys watching gory horror films, in particularly Saw as he has the full collection. He also wants to return to education in the future to fulfil his psychology GCSE.

Since returning home from hospital and recovering, he is following a rehabilitation plan that has enabled him to find his voice and talk again, he has also gained back some mobility.

We are looking for committed and likeminded individuals who will support with his rehabilitation and help encourage him to become more independent within his limits and support with his recovery.

Essential Experience Required

• 6 months previous care experience
• Medication Administration
• Personal Care
• Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience

• Tracheostomy Care
• Oral Suctioning
• Ventilation Management
• Gastrostomy Care (PEG Feeding)
• Knowledge / Awareness of rehabilitation care

We have the following shifts available;

• Night shifts from 7pm to 7am
