Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a gentleman with complex care needs.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

Our service user is a mature gentleman who lives in Accrington.

He has a great sense of humour and is looking for someone like-minded to assist with his care and share his banter.

His speech has been affected as he has a Tracheostomy in situ and this limits his verbal communication. We require a patient and understanding individual who is able to comprehend his way of communication by lip-reading.

His hobbies and interests include going out into the community on his scooter, completing crosswords and watching TV; he is a big fan of Horse racing.

Please note, it is essential that applicants are skilled in Tracheostomy care.

We are looking for experienced Health Care Assistants who are passionate about working in care and have a positive attitude and ambition to up-skill and develop would also be advantageous.

Essential Experience Required

• Tracheostomy Care
• 6 months previous care experience
• Medication Administration
• Personal Care
• Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience

• Gastrostomy Care (Peg feeding)
• Oral Suctioning

We have the following shifts available;

• Night shifts from 8pm to 8am
