Would you like to progress your career by working with children who require complex clinical care?
We are looking to recruit a team of Support Workers who have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, to support a young boy who has severe complex care needs.
Our service user is a young boy who loves being outdoors, running, climbing, and playing.
His favourite thing to do is go swimming and he is really looking forward to resuming this when circumstances allow.
He has an Acquired Brain Injury that has affected his mobility and behaviours. At times he can present very challenging behaviours which you must be confident and experienced in dealing with.
He communicates using his body language, behaviour and leading you to certain objects.
You must be able to familiarise yourself with his forms of communication to anticipate his needs and avoid him becoming distressed.
When he is out enjoying his social activities, he can become unsteady on his feet and will need constant observation ensuring his safety and in a suitable environment.
