Are you an experienced Support Worker looking to develop into a Team Leader?
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a Team Leader to support a gentleman with complex care needs and lead his team of carers.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate commitment, compassion, and strong communication skills, in line with our company values.
You will be a positive influence on the team and be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care.
The expectations of the role will include planning activities, managing appointments, carrying out stock checks and replenishment, managing documentation and maintaining accurate records.
You will also be required to support the service user with his daily routine and care requirements.
Our ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong background in care and be competent in delivering personal care, administering medication, safe moving, and handling.
It would be advantageous if you have spinal injury knowledge / awareness.
You will work along side a member of the team at specific times of the day to provide 2:1 support.
Our service user lives at home with his family in the Bethnal Green area.
He is a bubbly, friendly gentleman in his early 30’s who is very sociable and enjoys company, conversation and sharing jokes with his friends and care team.
His interests include listening to music, reading magazines and taking part in arts and crafts. He also attends a day centre twice weekly with the support of his care team.
He can sometimes require encouragement to take part in activities and so it is important that his care team are able to support him in the things he enjoys.
It would be beneficial if you hold basic Makaton skills however, this is not essential.
