Today is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day, raising awareness of the realities of living with a spinal cord injury and the importance of specialist care that supports people to live safely, independently, and with dignity at home.
At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide bespoke nurse-led complex care for people living with spinal cord injuries and other life-limiting and life-changing conditions, supporting not only clinical needs, but rehabilitation, wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
We are proud to support Gemma following her life-changing C4 spinal cord injury.
Since returning home, Gemma has reconnected with her family, animals, rehabilitation goals, and the activities she loves most, from hydrotherapy sessions and community outings to spending time with her horses and winning the RoR Partnership of the Year Award alongside Charlie.
Her journey is a powerful reminder that with the right support, people living with spinal cord injuries can continue to build independence, confidence, and meaningful futures.
Because sometimes, home really is the right answer.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re continuing our introductions with Amanda, Claire and Stacey, our Mental Health First Aiders based in our Central Office. 💚
Our Mental Health First Aiders play an important role in creating a positive and supportive environment for colleagues across the business, providing reassurance, guidance, and a confidential space to talk whenever support may be needed.
By encouraging open conversations and raising awareness of the support available, we continue to promote a workplace culture where wellbeing matters and nobody feels alone.
Thank you, Amanda, Claire and Stacey, for helping to support the wellbeing of our teams across Apollo Home Healthcare!
