Tracey Johnson, Head of Clinical & Quality Delivery, says...

“The Clinical Nurse Specialist role offers nurses the best of both worlds with a combination of office-based duties such as delivering training, supporting the wider team and writing care plans with patient contact where you will spend time in the field building relationships with your patients and their families, developing bespoke care plans and upskilling HCA’s to deliver clinical tasks.

“The role is predominantly Monday to Friday 9-5, with some flexibility to meet the specific needs of your caseload, but you will always receive time back. This can sound to good to be true, but is just another example of the benefits of being part of the Apollo Home Healthcare team.”

What does the role involve?

This role plays an important part in our organisation as you build great relationships with our service users and ensure that our care teams are trained and feel both competent and confident to deliver a compliant, high-quality and person-centred care service.

We have Registered Nurse’s located at each of our five offices who take clinical ownership of our packages of care, always ensuring that we deliver only the highest standards of care.

You will play a key role in training, observing and signing-off all care staff as competent in all clinical aspects of their role, as well as keeping staff updated on national standards and best practice guidance. Find out more about our training and our nurse-led care service.

It’s a fast-paced role and we’re looking for someone who shares our values and is up for a challenge!

You will be based at your local Apollo Home Healthcare office, but some flexibility is required as you will be travelling to client’s homes within your designated area.

What will my working hours be?

One of the key benefits of joining our team is that we can offer you a permanent, office-based role where you can work regular, core hours.

Our Clinical Nurse Specialists are contracted to work Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm, taking away the requirement to work long shifts, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays, offering you a healthier work-life balance.

Please note that some flexibility is required, on occasion, to meet the specific needs of your caseload.
