Sumaaya is a young lady of 19 who lives at home with her Mom and two brothers. At the age of 2 Sumaaya was diagnosed with Phospholipase associated neurological degeneration (known as PLAN), an extremely rare, inherited degenerative disorder of the nervous system characterized by abnormalities of nerve endings within the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.
The package of care we provide to Sumaaya and her family allows Sumaaya to be as independent as possible and her Mom to be a Mother, so they can spend quality family time together.
